Area 79 Chair
The area chairperson is responsible for organizing meetings of the Area 79 Committee (Area Quarterlies and Assemblies), chairing the meetings of the General Service Committee (GSC) and for ensuring that the business of the area is carried out. The chairperson, more than any other officer, keeps the delegate informed about what is going on in the area, and makes sure that Area Committee members are aware of what goes on in World Services.
The BC/Yukon Area Committee meets four times annually. Locations for these meetings are chosen, for the following year, at the April Pre-Conference Assembly. A list of upcoming Area Meetings is given on the Quarterlies and Assemblies page, under the Events tab, on this website. As the date of a meeting approaches, detailed information and the meeting agenda is posted with the meeting’s listing.
