Archives Committee

The archives committee meets to ensure that the repository of personal collections, manuscripts, publications, photographs and memorabilia related to the origin and development of the AA fellowship is preserved and made available to members of Alcoholics Anonymous, and to those of the public who may have a valid need to review such material. The committee is also involved in developing policies and procedures for the collection of material and liaison with the archivist to ensure that requests for information are met in a timely manner. Special projects are also undertaken to collect and create historical documents and/or videos that assist in our carrying the message to the alcoholic who stills suffers. One recent project is the compilation of the history of our long-timer women, “The Women’s Stories”. This will be published in book form and made available through our literature sales.
