General Service Committee
The General Service Committee (GSC) is composed of seven elected and seven appointed positions. The GSC members serve two-year terms in keeping with the Conference Panel rotation. With a few exceptions, the committee meets monthly. If you would like to attend a GSC meeting, as an observer, contact the Area 79 Chair. More information on each of the positions is provided in the “Job Description” following each position heading.
Duties common to GSC members
As well as duties specific to their positions, all General Service Committee members are expected to:
- Facilitate workshops.
- Take the archives to events and be available for other travel assignments.
- Attend and participate in all Quarterlies and Assemblies and report on their activities at these events.
- Attend and participate in all regular monthly General Service Committee meetings (held in Vancouver on the first Wednesday of each month) and report on their activities at these events.
- Reply to email, telephone and written questions.
- Submit regular expense reports to the Treasurer.
